Bướm đêm spurge hawk còn có một tên gọi khác là bướm chim ruồi, là loài côn trùng có tốc độ bay nhanh với 54km/giờ. Loài bướm này có vẻ ngoài độc lạ và khá đẹp mắt, chúng là loài vô hại với con người và thay vào đó, bướm còn là côn trùng giúp hoa thụ phấn và đâm trái, giúp màu vụ bội thu. Đầu hình tam giác tù, râu dạng sợi ngắn và mảnh, mắt khép to có một vệt dọc màu nâu sẫm chạy suốt hai bên lưng ngực. Lưng của châu chấu dài hơn đầu và phần bụng có ngấn, hai chân sau to. Chúng có khả năng nhảy xa và khu vực sinh sống chủ yếu của châu chấu là ở Châu Á và Châu Phi.
Ở nước ta, châu chấu sống khắp nơi trên ruộng lúa, nương bãi, chúng ẩn nấp trong các bụi rậm, đám cỏ và thường đẻ trứng trong đất nhất là đất cát, đất xốp sâu khoảng 10cm. Chúng sinh sản theo từng ổ, trứng của châu chấu có màu vàng giống như hạt gạo. Những quả trứng này sẽ nở rải rác trong thời gian từ 3 – 5 ngày, từ đó tiếp tục một thế hệ hệ châu chấu con.
7. Bọ cánh cứng Tiger (9 km/h)
Bọ cánh cứng Tiger có thể bay với tốc độ lên đến 9 km/h (gấp 125 lần chiều dài cơ thể trên mỗi giây) được xem là loài côn trùng có tốc độ bay khá nhanh.
